Magazine No. 3 "Cypherpunk"

This issue has been particularly dear to my heart from the very beginning. As an early Internet user and web designer in the early 1990s, I had to watch helplessly as the web transformed into a global surveillance tool for autocratic governments and an insatiable data octopus for big tech companies at the beginning of the 21st century at the latest. The ever-increasing platformization, systematic suppression of free expression and independent journalists, as well as developments such as the Chinese firewall, made censorship internationally acceptable.

It is therefore a particular pleasure for me to be able to present you in this magazine three exclusive interviews with personalities who, in some cases for decades, have campaigned for the preservation of privacy or who have fought tirelessly for the release of Julian Assange, who has now feared extradition to the USA for over 15 years because he revealed to the world the terrible war crimes that American soldiers committed in Afghanistan and for which they were never held accountable.
